I recently had the opportunity to produce, film, and edit another episode of the Tell Me podcast, hosted by Sam Stokes.

In this conversation, Sam sits down with filmmaker, writer, and licensed therapist Robin Fitzgerald for a discussion about storytelling, creativity, and the often messy process of bringing ideas to life. What begins as a conversation about filmmaking expands into a thoughtful exploration of character development, creative feedback, artistic vision, and finding your voice as a creator.

Learning whose feedback to listen to is just as important as learning how to create.

One of the things I enjoyed most about this episode is how honest the conversation feels. Robin shares insights from both filmmaking and therapy, discussing the challenge of staying open to feedback while still remaining true to the story you want to tell. The result is a conversation that will resonate not only with writers and filmmakers, but with anyone trying to create meaningful work.

Sam and Robin

Along the way, Sam and Robin explore where ideas come from, how characters take shape, and why some of the most memorable stories begin with simply paying attention to the people and experiences around us.

I’m grateful to have played a small part in bringing this conversation to life. Check out the full episode below and let me know what you think.
