I’m honored to have been featured in SDVoyager Magazine’s Inspiring Stories series. The interview gave me an opportunity to reflect on the path that led me to build Richland Studios and the experiences that shaped the way I approach creative work today.
“What began as a passion for music and recording has evolved into a creative space dedicated to helping musicians, podcasters, and content creators bring their ideas to life.”
In the article, I share how my career began in the trades as a mechanic and metal fabricator before eventually transitioning into media production. After spending nearly a decade working in videography, web design, graphic design, voice-over recording, editing, and other creative disciplines, I decided to create a dedicated space where I could bring those skills together and help others produce professional audio and video content.
Building Richland Studios has been both challenging and rewarding. What started as a passion for music, recording, and problem-solving has evolved into a creative space for musicians, podcasters, and content creators. Along the way, I’ve learned that building a studio is about much more than equipment and acoustics—it’s about creating an environment where people feel comfortable bringing their ideas to life.
I’m grateful to SDVoyager for the opportunity to share my story and talk about the journey behind Richland Studios. If you’d like to learn more about my background, the challenges of building a studio from the ground up, and the lessons I’ve learned along the way, I invite you to read the full interview.
